Tree Top Walk in the Sedim River Recreation Park is the longest canopy walk in the world with 950m-long. The Tree Top Walk Sedim River was built within the low land of dipterocarp compartment 15 of Gunung Inas Forest Reserve. It is one tourist attraction that you must not miss in Kedah.
Here have a lot of activities provides like jungle trekking, midnight jungle walk, flying fox, river crossing, kayak, picnic, camping, paintball, tubing, hiking, team building, birds watching ,fishing and of course white water rafting.
The spectacular view you get when you stroll through the jungle canopy is the main draw for visitors from far and wide to this quiet, all-natural corner of Kedah. Attention! Here got lot of leeches..beware! J
Visiting Hours
The Tree Top Walk opens daily from 8:30am to 5:30pm. It closes only when there is an extreme weather condition such as a heavy rain accompanied with lighting or when it gets windy.
Cost of Visit
It costs only RM10 per entry. Children and senior citizens can get a discount price.
Getting to Tree Top Walk
From Kuala Lumpur or Penang, you can take the North South Expressway (PLUS) heading towards north. Take the exit at Seberang Jaya into Butterworth – Kulim Expressway (BKE) to Kulim Hi-Tech Park. From there, drive towards Karangan town.
What to bring
- Mineral water! (this is important because here you are difficult to find a shop and you will get thirsty)
- Sulfur (to get rid of leech)
- First aid kit
- Junk foods
- Track shoes
- I recommend to wear a long shirt and a long trousers
- Ear plug (to get rid of leech or any bugs)
